LEARNER RECRUITMENT POLICY

The College is committed to providing flexible, high quality teaching, professional education and research opportunities to students from a wide variety of backgrounds. In order to get an admission a candidate must be able to satisfy our organisation that they have evidence to show that the student has every reasonable prospect of succeeding in their chosen programme of study. On this basis, we aim to offer equality of opportunity to anyone with the ability to benefit from its programmes and provision. We aim to ensure that its recruitment, selection and admissions processes are transparent and focused towards their intended audiences. We ensure this policy is used with others in relation to student recruitment and admission is operated fairly and consistently, with a view to enhancing the College’s strategic aims and objectives.

Learners will be given accurate information for them to make an inform decision

In situation where there are pre-requisites, learners are responsible to provide full evidence which will be thoroughly examined prior to enrolment.

Our organisation will try to support learners with special need as far as reasonable as possible. For those we cannot support they will be signed posted and referred to other education providers.

Learners will be required to complete an initial assessment, skills scan, diagnostic as appropriate.

Where programmes are funded learners must fulfil all the funding criteria stipulated by the funders. These funding criteria vary and will be communicated to the learners accordingly.

Any accreditation of prior learning will be considered when selecting the candidates and this will have to evidence through appropriate certificate. The evidence will be shared with our funders and awarding bodies in order to establish the level of exemption.

Learners must provide correct and accurate information about themselves and we reserve the right to carry out any necessary verification.

We make use of various recruitment techniques which include brochures, words of mouth, consultants, advertisement, online marketing and through our partners and associate.

We will consider learners’ prior achievement and offer exemption as per the awarding body’s guidance.

We will only be able to offer programme that are available at particular time.
